The City of Hillsboro provides fire and ambulance services through two separate intergovernmental cooperation agreements.
Hillsboro Area Ambulance Service
The City of Hillsboro, Town of Greenwood, Town of Hillsboro, and Town of Forest have entered into an intergovernmental cooperative agreement to provide ambulance services for a portion or all of their residents. With two ambulances and a volunteer EMT staff the Hillsboro Area Ambulance Service takes pride in providing this life-saving service to all residents in the service area.
