The City of Hillsboro Water/Sewer Utility is offering $100 rebates to water/sewer customers who replace toilets that use 3.5 gallons or more per flush with WaterSense labeled high efficiency toilets in their homes or businesses. 

How Do I Qualify?

1. Applicants must be City of Hillsboro water/sewer customers who are either property owners or the parties legally responsible for paying the water/sewer bill.

2. Rebates are restricted to the replacement of toilets 3.5 gallons per flush (gpf) or larger. If the size is unavailabe, please provide the height, width, and depth of the water level in the tank. 

3. Toilets must be replaced with a WaterSense labeled high efficiency toilet (1.28gpf). For a list of approved devices, visit www.epa.gov/watersense/ .

4. Applicants must provide original receipt and a completed "High Efficiency Toilet Replacement Rebate Application."

How Do I Apply?

1. Confirm your old toilet is eligible.

2. Purchase and install a WaterSense labeled high efficiency toilet (1.28gpf). Complete application and return it, with original receipt, to City Hall.

3. All replacements may be subject to verification by City of Hillsboro personnel. A city representative may contact you to schedule a site visit. 

Funding

The City of Hillsboro Sewer Fund shall fund this program. The program shall have an annual budge of $1000. Funding shall be based on a first come, first serve basis. Once funds are exhausted for the year, no applications will be considered until the first of January the following year. The program shall beging January 1, 2012, and run consecutive years thereafter if funds remain available. 

Limitations

1. Rebates are limited to one (1) per residential and commercial water/sewer account.

2. The City of Hillsboro Water/Sewer Utility reserves the right to reject any application.
