The City of Hillsboro will be under a Winter Snow Event starting March 14, 2026, at 9:00 P.M. and ending March 16, 2026 at 12:00 P.M.

 

The City Public Works staff will be coming out to plow the City streets so please have all vehicles and trailers off the street until the snow has been removed to the curb line.

 

The City of Hillsboro has an ordinance regarding on-street parking during the snow season. The ordinance allows overnight parking on City streets at all times of the year EXCEPT in the instance of a “winter snow event” – which is defined as any instance in which there is snowfall of 2 inches or more. When the snowfall threshold is met, the Hillsboro Public Works Department or Police Department will issue a city-wide notification.

 

We advise not traveling if you are at all able to refrain. Be aware this storm is going to take a lot of manpower and time to recover from if it hits the way that is currently predicted. All municipalities will be pushing to their limits, and it will likely take more than one day for cleanup.
